Home Visits

Doctor's bag

If you or a family member is bedbound and unwell you may require a home visit, please try to call between 08:30 and 10am to speak to the doctor who will arrange a visit if it is required with you.

We are happy to visit patients who are housebound or too poorly to be moved. The decision to visit at home will be made purely on health grounds; difficulties with childcare and transport are not valid reasons for a house call.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
