Zero Tolerance Policy

Hillsborough Medical Practice has a policy of zero tolerance of verbal and physical violence towards our staff members.

The Practice is committed to ensuring that our staff treat out patients with dignity and courtesy at all times. We expect our patients to treat staff in the same manner.

Shouting and swearing at practice staff will not be tolerated under any circumstances and patients who are abusive may be removed from the practice list.

The Health and Safety Executive define violence as "any incident, in which an employee is abused, threatened or assaulted by a member of the public in circumstances arising out of the course of his or her employment".
