Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
Nurse Laura McGourty (f)

We are delighted to have welcomed Nurse McGourty to our team in September 2020. Laura has a wealth of experience and is now completing a degree in Practice Nursing through the University of Ulster. We can now offer Practice Nurse cover to the practice 5 days per between between both Nurs McGourty and Nurse Jones. Nurse Tara Lecky (f)

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and is a member of the Royal College of Nursing. Nurse Lecky is a vital link between the GP's and our patients. She will see you for your chronic disease reviews, baby vaccinations and smears. Her wealth of experience offers a fantastic support portal. If you have any questions that she can help with, please ring the practice and our team will help organise. 

Healthcare Assistants

Mrs Debbie Halley

DebbieHealthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. Debbie runs our Patient Testing clinics for patients taking warfarin, methotrexate and other medication that requires close monitoring.
